Beth Spotswood (born January 28, 1978, San Francisco, CA) is a writer, blogger and video host, best known for her weekly Culture Blog on the San Francisco Chronicle's SFGate.com

Born in San Francisco, California and raised in Mill Valley, California, Beth attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco and Philadelphia University. After graduating in 2000, Beth returned to San Francisco and began working at Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon in 2001.
She started writing her personal blog, "I'll Flip You, Flip You For Real" in June 2004. Spotswood was hired by the San Francisco Chronicle in 2007 to write for their Culture Blog. She posts about politics, culture and events in the Bay Area.
Beth writes for the San Francisco Appeal and VidSF. She also hosts videos found online and on KOFY-TV. Spotswood has been quoted on ABC News, The Drudge Report and the Los Angeles Times.[1]
In December 2009, Beth Spotswood won the Christmas Show of the Literary Death Match, held at the Elbo Room in San Francisco. Beth has been featured on the most eligible list put out by the Nob Hill Gazette.
On July 20, 2011, Beth was chosen as the finalist in 7x7 Magazine's "Hot 20 Under (And Over) 40 Readers' Choice" award.[2]
Beth Spotswood lives in San Francisco's Mission District. Her father is former Mill Valley Mayor and current Marin Independent Journal columinst Dick Spotswood.
In 2008, Beth entered a 28 day treatment facility for an addiction to alcohol. She chronicled her stay and subsequent struggle with sobriety online.
She is currently a writer and editor for CBS Digital Media and CBS-5 San Francisco.
